X Factor ratings improve for second night

The X Factor fared better in its second outing, thanks to the help of Packed To The Rafters on Tuesday night.

Seven’s talent contest averaged 1.482m viewers, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam. This was an improvement on Monday’s debut of 1.186m for The X Factor.   

It was fourth most watched program overall and beat Nine’s motoring show Top Gear (1.395m)  in the 7.30pm time slot.

The X Factor was also of varying interest to metro audiences, ranging from second in Sydney to seventh in Brisbane.

Meanwhile, Packed To The Rafters averaged 1.847m.

Ten’s best performing show was Modern Family with 1.238m.

In channel share Seven won the night with 30%, followed closely by Nine with 26.2%  and then Ten with 19.6%
