Yahoo!7 and ESPN Australia today announced a partnership for Yahoo!7 to be the exclusive Australian sales representative for advertising across ESPN’s websites.

Through the deal, Yahoo!7 will represent advertising inventory across ESPN’s popular sporting websites which include cricket site espncricinfo.com, soccer site espnsoccernet.com, Formula 1 site espnf1.com, and rugby site espnscrum.com and arguably the world’s largest multi sporting website, espn.com

Damon Scarr, Commercial Director, Yahoo!7, said, “ESPN websites feature high quality editorial, offering advertisers a premium environment as well as a highly engaged audience, with interest in a range of sports.

“ESPN’s audience complements the Yahoo!7 Sport audience, particularly in the areas of cricket and soccer – espncricinfo.com is the largest cricket website in Australia and espnsoccernet.com is the second largest soccer site in Australia – collectively these two sites reach over one million unique Australian users each month.”

ESPN’s Commercial Director Gus Seebeck added “ESPN is delighted to partner with Yahoo!7 across our suite of online sites. ESPN delivers consistently high levels of traffic through these verticals which combine to deliver an industry leading combination of video, up to the minute sports news, information, scores, statistics and analysis.”

Damon added, “Advertisers can already reach up to 3.5 million unique visitors each month* on Yahoo!7 Sport and this new deal means we can offer advertisers additional options to extend this reach even further to ESPN’s audience.  This is an exciting deal for the Yahoo!7 sales team and reinforces our commitment to delivering quality audiences at scale for Australian advertisers.”
