“Ticket sales are a clear reflection of the level of enthusiasm that young people have in our industry, which is something that was noted by and impressed the panel,” said Harry McKeon, Chairman of Youngbloods QLD.

“We are thrilled with the success of The Hand You Need and plan to continue the momentum throughout the year.”

Panelists included:

●Russ Vine – Managing Director at Ogilvy Brisbane

●Mike Kennedy – Senior Copywriter at Rumble Creative & Media

●Ben Lees – Art Director at Publicis Mojo

●Ruth Limkin – Director and Consultant

●Eve McCormack – Digital Director at Ikon Communications

●Kirsten Read – Senior Brand Manager at Tatts Lotteries

The panel showcased talent from all corners of the industry, with representation of creative, media, marketing, account management and consulting. The lively group was addressed by MC, Roshni Vastrad, who graduated from QUT last year.

Panelists engaged in friendly debate over contested topics and offered key pieces of advice to the captive audience.

“If you take anything from tonight, it is that you shouldn’t be using Times New Roman,” Kristen joked.

Planning is underway for the committee’s next event, to be held in the coming months.
