The announcement:

Sedgwick Communications is excited to announce Yvonne Sewankambo as its latest hire. Sewankambo joins as communications consultant working across the agency’s travel and publishing clients.

Sewankambo has more than eight years of in-house and agency experience and a proven track record in developing and coordinating strategies and campaigns in publishing, film, television, theatre, education, and the not-for-profit sector.

As communications consultant at Sedgwick Communications, she is tasked with leading key accounts, driving impactful work and delivering excellent results for the agency’s roster of clients.

Laura Sedgwick, managing director and founder at Sedgwick Communications, said, “Yvonne is a genuine and lovely human who brings a mature and calming approach to her work, and embodies the culture we foster at the agency. She is a skilled communicator with a wealth of experience that she can bring to the agency’s client list. I’m excited to have her onboard to help continue the agency’s run of success.”

Sewankambo said, “I’m honoured to witness and be part of Sedgwick Communications’ continued growth, and excited to work with the wonderful teams at Singapore Tourism Board and BookPeople, sharing their exceptional value and stories with Australian and New Zealand audiences.”

Sedgwick Communications launched to the market in July this year. The newly formed, independent PR agency works with both consumer and corporate clients to tell their stories through public relations, social media and content creation.

It recently announced Singapore Tourism Board as a new client win, which joined the agency’s existing roster of clients – New Zealand’s leading travel insurer, Southern Cross Travel Insurance, Oxford University Press and BookPeople, the peak body for independent bookshops.
