Zumbo’s Just Desserts wraps to 299,000 metro viewers

Seven’s second season of cooking competition show Zumbo’s Just Desserts wrapped on Thursday night to 299,000 metro viewers, airing at 8.30pm.

The network aired the penultimate episode at 7.30pm, seeing 288,000 metro viewers tune in.

The program is a partnership between Seven and Netflix, which helped it find new life after its first season in 2016. Season one premiered to over 1m metro viewers, but the numbers dropped as low as 646,000 across the series.

Elsewhere, Seven News was the most-watched program overall with 790,000 metro viewers. 766,000 watched Nine News and 595,000 watched ABC News. ABC’s 7.30 was the most-watched in the timeslot with 521,000 metro viewers tuning in, followed by 441,000 for Grand Designs.

392,000 tuned in for Better Homes and Garden’s Countdown to Christmas on Seven and 387,000 watched Great Getaways on Nine.

The Project was the most-watched for Ten with 363,000 metro viewers tuning in. The Project also sat at the top of the two youngest advertising demographics – 16-39s and 18-49s – while Nine News topped the 25-54s.

Nine was the most-watched channel overall for Thursday night, holding a total people share of 18.3% and a network share of 29.2%. Seven held 15.3% and 26.9% as a network. ABC secured a channel audience share of 11.9% and a network share of 18.7% and Ten held 8.5% and 16.6%. The most popular multi-channel was 10 Bold with 5.3%.
