Former Nova presenter Tim Ross backs new Austereo comedy station
Former Nova presenter Tim Ross, who left the Merrick & Rosso breakfast show at the end of last year, has recorded a video promotion to promote a rival network.
Tim Ross recorded the message for Austereo’s forthcoming digital comedy channel Barry, which launches next Friday.
It is part of a Save Barry campaign by the station built around the idea that the name Barry is in danger of becoming extinct. It also includes a Save Barry Facebook page.
Other comedians recording video messages include Russell Brand.
Ross presented the Nova 969 breakfast show in Sydney with Merrick Watts, who remained with the DMG-owned station and now presents the show with Ricki-Lee Coulter and Scott Dooley.
This week saw Ross front the new TV show Australia versus on Seven. It suffered a dramatic loss of audience and has the second episode has been shunted back to a later timeslot.

Thanks, Ange – he’ll always be Dools to me (now amended).
Cheers,
Tim
weird, would have thought they would have gotten a comedian to promote a comedy station, not Rosso.

I am currently accepting donations to save the Barrys. I promise to spend it on important things such as food and booze.
