2013 ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards finalists

ASTRA has released the names of finalists for itsIndustry Excellence  pay TV awards night.

The announcement:

 The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) is pleased to announce the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards finalists.

The ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards recognise excellence in the promotion of the subscription television (STV) industry. Entrants to the awards include television channels, operators, production houses, media, advertising and creative agencies that contribute to STV. The winners will be announced as part of the ASTRA 2013 Conference, themed Enhanced Entertainment, on Thursday 14 March at the Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre. 

“Each year, the STV industry is privileged to review ground-breaking and innovative marketing campaigns submitted to the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards. This year, the submissions are indicative of the changing consumer demand for premium entertainment content delivered anytime and everywhere,” said ASTRA CEO, Petra Buchanan. 

The Awards are judged by panels of senior subscription TV marketing specialists who determine all finalists and winners across nine categories. Judges review each entry and assess its merits based on the strength of the campaign strategy, implementation, results and creativity. 

This year the following finalists have been shortlisted for the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards:

PLATFORM MARKETING

MOST OUTSTANDING MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR SUBSCRIPTION SALES OR SUBSCRIBER RETENTION/EXTENSION

Awarded to the most outstanding Australian consumer marketing campaign used to drive subscription sales and encourage customer retention and loyalty.

MOST OUTSTANDING USE OF STV FOR A CONSUMER ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Awarded to an organisation for the most outstanding use of the Australian STV medium in a consumer advertising campaign.
