303 MullenLowe appointed to creative duties for the WA Mental Health Commission’s alcohol, drug and mental health programs

Cancer Council WA has hired 303 MullenLowe to provide creative advertising services for the Western Australian Mental Health Commission’s (MHC) programs Alcohol. Think Again, Drug Aware and Strong Spirit Strong Mind.

Cancer Council WA is the new non-government organisation partner for MHC and the appointment expands on 303 MullenLowe’s existing relationship with Alcohol. Think Again.

The agency was behind Alcohol. Think Again’s recent campaign to reduce underage drinking in Western Australia, ‘I need you to say no’.

As part of the expanded relationship, 303 MullenLowe will produce a range of education and prevention campaigns with the aim of helping MHC reach its objective of creating a community in WA of minimal alcohol and other drug-related issues and optimal mental health.

Campaigns for Alcohol. Think Again and Drug Aware are already in development.

John Linton, head of planning at 303 MullenLowe, said: “MHC has a long history of producing powerful and effective behaviour change campaigns. We’re over the moon to be joining them on the next leg of their journey.”

Julia Stafford, alcohol program manager at Cancer Council WA, added: “The 303 MullenLowe team has shown great enthusiasm in taking on the challenge of these campaigns and we look forward to seeing them apply their expertise to reduce harm from alcohol and other drugs in WA.”

The appointment follows 303 MullenLowe becoming the creative agency of record for Bayer’s nutritionals consumer health portfolio in Australia following a one-day pitch.
