The Music to provide news and reviews and handle sales for ticketing platform Oztix

The MusicTicketing company Oztix and youth media company The Music has partnered across content, advertising and electronic direct mail in an agreement that sees The Music provides news to Oztix online platforms.

The partnership means that brands will now have the opportunity to access the Oztix customer base for the first time as Oztix will make its advertising inventory available to brands and external clients for the first time, with sales to be handled by The Music’s sales team.

Oztix commercial director Seth Clancy said in a statement: “Oztix has incredible insights into the ticket buying public and working with The Music we will be able to offer increased reach into the all important 17-35 demographic.”

The agreement also sees The Music provide intereviews and reviews to Oztix, as well as jointly produce newsletters to Oztix’s claimed 1.3m subscriber base on a weekly basis.

Leigh Treweek, managing director for The Music, said in a statement:  “Oztix as a brand is similar to The Music fiercely independent and huge supporters of the Australian music scene. This agreement will further provide opportunities for brands and advertisers to tap into the music loving public.”

Oztix co-founder Brian Chladil said in a statement: “As Oztix has grown in traffic we knew we needed to be more than an e-commerce site. The partnership with The Music will enhance our users’ experience and directly benefit venues and events ticketing with Oztix.”
