ABC narrows the gap with commercial competitors on Thursday

ABC had one-fifth of network share last night, higher than usual. Last Thursday, it accounted for 16.2% of network share.

Seven’s Home And Away topped entertainment programs last night, while Nine had the largest network share.

Nine News topped all three key demographics – 16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54.

For the latest Consolidated TV report for 17 February, Seven News at 6.30 topped with 1.365 million total viewers, including 31,000 BVOD viewers nationally and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the highest uplift was SBS’ The Long Call, a rise of 152%, totaling 385,000 viewers with 107,000 nationally on BVOD.

As mentioned, last night Seven’s Home and Away had 532,000 metro viewers, topping entertainment programs. Next was Seven’s The Chase with 491,000 metro viewers.

This was followed by Nine’s RBT with 447,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped with 965,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 899,000 metro viewers.

Next was Nine News with 870,000 metro viewers, then Nine News 6.30 with 823,000 metro viewers.

ABC News was next with 661,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s A Current Affair followed with 582,000 metro viewers.

For metro viewers, this was followed by ABC’s 7.30 with 569,000 metro viewers.

For network share, Nine had 28.3%, followed by Seven with 26.8%. ABC was next with 20%, followed by Ten with 16.0%.
