ABC: New Idea finally sees modest growth, while ACP titles fall led by NW

New Idea, MumbrellaACP Magazines’ weekly NW, OK and Take 5 titles suffered double digit year-on-year falls in the latest circulation results, while Pacific Magazines’ New Idea has finally seen a slight rise.

New Idea, which underwent a redesign and launched a supporting brand campaign in January, is starting to see some results, with circulation rising by a modest 0.12% to 330,503, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations figures for the three months to the end of March.

Significantly, it was the first year-on-year (YOY) growth New Idea has managed since 2006.

The best news for PacMags again came from its celebrity gossip title Famous, with a 14.39% rise to 88,151.

The pubisher’s worst performing title was That’s Life, which fell by almost 10% YOY to 278,248.

ACP had little joy, with all its weekly titles suffering declines, although its market-leading Woman’s Day and Grazia each fell by less than 1% respectively.
