Financial comparison site Mozo launches first TV ad

Financial comparison website, Mozo.com.au, has launched its first TV campaign “Rate Chasers” which stars its own staff who are shown as “rate-frenzied financial experts”.

The staff are shown in mock situations going to great lengths to track down the best home loans, credit card and savings deals for consumers.

Rohan Gamble, Mozo MD, said: “Rate Chasers really captures what Mozo is about – a fresh approach to the dry world of financial services. We want to show Australians that they have options, that someone’s found a way through the money maze and they’re no longer stuck with a bad home loan, expensive credit card or dud savings account. We chase the best rates and they make the savings.”

The commercial, which is airing on pay TV’s TV1 and the Sci-Fi channel, was created by Workshop and directed by 2 Feet Films’ Phil Rich.

The TV ad will be supported by social media activity and a revamped website.

The higher production values reflect a different apoproach to that taken by Mozo for its online video earlier this year, which was ridiculed from some quarters.
