Absolut Vodka appoints AnalogFolk globally to handle social media

absolut vodkaAbsolut Vodka has appointed AnalogFolk to support its global social media following a competitive pitch.

The agency will be responsible for bringing the existing Absolut brand experiences to life through social media channels, branded content and editorial publishing.

An Absolut Vodka spokesperson said: “Our global HQ is based in Stockholm and we will work directly with AnalogFolk’s office in London. AnalogFolk has offices in a number of our key markets which is an advantage for ensuring that our global strategy will deliver locally.”

The global appointment follows on from the local office establishing an editorial unit to be lead by former Pedestrian.tv and Oyster magazine managing editor Suz Tucker.

On the appointment, AnalogFolk co-f0under and CEO Bill Brock said: “We are thrilled to be working with a brand that is so renowned for creativity and innovation. The appointment is a welcome recognition that our approach to social media, branded content and editorial publishing is compelling to progressive clients.”

In September the agency poached creative technologist James Bush from M&C Saatchi, as it looks to build up its capabilities in that sphere.

AnalogFolk clients include fellow Pernod Ricard brands Jacob’s Creek and Chivas Regal, as well as  Foxtel, TAB.com.au, Sheridan and a2 Milk.
