ACP appoints Tracey Withers

ACP Magazines has appointed Tracey Withers to the role of beauty and health director for its fashion and lifestyle magazine Grazia.

Withers will replace Lucinda Pitt who has been appointed to the role of vice president of communication and strategy at cosmetic brand Napoleon Perdis.

Australia’s leading publishing group, ACP Magazines, today announced Tracey Withers as GRAZIA magazine’s new Beauty and Health Director.

Announcing the new appointment, Robyn Foyster, Publisher, said: “I’m delighted to announce Tracey as the new Beauty and Health Director of GRAZIA.

“Tracey has been with the magazine since it launched in July 2008 and has done an outstanding job as Beauty Editor.

“She has an excellent reputation within the industry and her experience, talent and drive make Tracey the perfect appointment to lead the beauty team under the new editor, Kellie Hush.”

Tracey Withers said: “I’ve had an amazing two-and-a-half years at GRAZIA and I am delighted to now continue in my new role.

Tracey’s appointment is effective immediately as she takes over from Lucinda Pitt, who is leaving GRAZIA to pursue her career with the Napoleon Perdis brand.

February 2011 — Hollywood-based makeup guru Napoleon Perdis has tapped Lucinda Pitt to join Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics as Vice President of Communication and Strategy. Lucinda brings with her over fifteen years experience as a top beauty magazine editor.

Most recently, Lucinda was the Beauty and Health Director of Grazia Australia and formerly Harper’s Bazaar Australia, and Cosmopolitan, all Hearst titles, as well as Editor-In-Chief of ELLE Australia. As a beauty authority in Australia, Lucinda comes with unparalleled insight into the world of cosmetics which is well suited to the Napoleon Perdis brand. “I’ve known Lucinda for many years,” says Napoleon, “and I can truly say that she knows my brand inside and out.”

She spent time as a freelance journalist for titles such as Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, The Weekend Australian Magazine, Australia’s The Age Newspaper, The Sun Herald Newspaper, and New Woman. She co-authored the beauty bible Secrets and Lies: All You Ever Wanted To Know About Beauty. Lucinda has appeared as the beauty and health expert on Australian television show Lifeforce on The Lifestyle Channel’s health makeover program.

Lucinda has also consulted to media, fashion and lifestyle brands and for cosmetic companies including Procter & Gamble, Biersdorf, Revlon, Mecca Cosmetica and Joyce Beauty on brand development, marketing and advertising communications for print, television, direct marketing, and online.

Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics is continuously expanding and evolving the communications and strategy department to build a team that’s always ahead-of-the curve.
