Ad Wrap: KFC fancies a change; Macca’s Monopoly instant win; Holden showcases Trailblazer; Ford’s new Mondeo by design

KFC has introduced a skate-boarding, all-clad in white ‘taste mob’ in its latest TV ad, with the mob taking to the cities to hand out KFC to the tune of The Trashmen’s Surfin’ Bird.

The fast food chain is also spruiking its pumpkin and fetta Twister with a spot which sees a landscaper walking into work in glitter and feathered work boots, designed by his daughter, while voiceover asks ‘Fancy a tasty change?’. Ogilvy Sydney is KFC’s creative agency of record.

McDonald’s is promoting its Monopoly game with a series of ads looking at how much time it takes for consumers to win instantly.

One spot sees a male work colleague’s cat wedding planning habits outed when a female colleague while another sees a lift-riding karaoke singer realises she has an audience.

Another spot sees a very excited dog Toby ‘help a gardener tidy up some leaf litter and a fourth spot sees Barry get hit in the head with a football.

Holden is positioning its new Trailblazer as the ultimate adventure car with a campaign seeing the car in a variety of different landscapes, cut amongst shots of people swimming, mountain riding and camping. It ends with the tagline ‘New Holden Trailblazer – made for trailblazers’. AJF Melbourne is the Holden creative agency of record.

Ford is celebrating its new Mondeo with a simple TVC which sees the car’s design elements shown off as it moves from hanging vertically in the air to flat on the road ready to be driven away.
