Adam Washington departs The 6AM Agency as CEO after just seven months

The CEO of The 6AM Agency, Adam Washington, has left the business after just seven months in the role.

At the time of his appointment, Washington said part of his role “will focus on 6AM’s ongoing evolution in response to client, market and technological change”.

6AM Agency’s previous leadership team: Washington, Chris Savage and Gillian Fish

Along with Washington’s appointment in November last year, Gillian Fish, the founder of The 6AM Agency took on a new director role.

Washington joined the PR agency from his previous four-year stint as the client service director at Deepend.

Fish told Mumbrella: “Adam Washington was appointed to lead 6AM at a time of rapid evolution from pure PR to integrated creative communications built around a deep earned and owned specialisation.

“Adam played an important role during his time at 6AM in evolving our client service structure, and helping expand capabilities.

“He decided to leave the role and to build his career in other streams of the communications industry, and left with our very best wishes.”

The 6AM Agency rebranded from Brand New Solutions when the former COO of STW Communications and founder of Ogilvy PR Australia Chris Savage took a stake in the agency in November 2016.

One year later The 6AM Agency recruited its first ever executive creative director Nitin Mistry.

Three months ago, the agency hired Sarah Bell as its head of social.

Washington has been approached for comment.
