Adelaide radio ratings: Hamish and Andy help lift Hit107 as Mix increases share in top spot

Mix102.3 held onto its top FM spot, with the station’s breakfast duo of Jodie and Soda retaining their breakfast crown while in drive Hamish & Andy helped increase Hit107’s share but not enough to change the top two shows.

Jodie and Soda boosted their share by 1.6 share points to a share of 13.6 per cent, while TripleM’s Roo and Ditts for breakfast claimed second place in the FM heap with a share of 10.2 per cent.

Nova’s breakfast team Lewis and Lowe slipped into third place after seeing their share drop by 1.8 share points to a share of 9.6 per cent.

In a relatively static period in the Adelaide radio scene, Australian Radio Network’s Mix102.3 held onto the FM top spot with a Monday to Sunday share of 14.5 per cent, ahead of rival Nova91.9 which posted a share of 11.7 per cent to tie with AM station FIVEaa. 

Triple M claimed third place amongst the FM stations with a Monday to Sunday share of 9.1 per cent, while Hit107 boosted their share by 1.1 share points to a share of 7.8 per cent.

Hit107 saw its audience grow amongst listeners aged 10-17, 18-24, 35-39 and 55-64. The largest increase was amongst people aged 18-24 with the station lifting by 2.8 share points to a share of 16 per cent.

In drive, Hamish and Andy’s return to the airwaves for Hit107 helped increase the station’s share in the timeslot to 9.6 per cent, an increase of 1.5 share points.

However it was not enough to break into the top two stations with Nova’s nationally syndicated show of Kate, Tim and Marty claiming first place with a share of 15.1 per cent, while the former drive winner Mix102.3 slipped into second place with a share of 14.4 per cent.

Hit107 claimed third place pushing Triple M into fourth place with a share of 7.8 per cent.

In the AM battle FiveAA claimed the overall ratings crown with a share of 11.7 while ABC891 managed a share of 10.1 per cent.

In breakfast however ABC891 held onto its lead position despite a share decline of 2 share points to land on a share of 14.1 per cent while FIVEaa’s Breakfast show had a share of 13.4 per cent.
