Advanced Medical Institute ad attracts complaint – again
The Advertising Standards Bureau has released its latest set of rulings for the year and guess which advertiser made on its complaints list – Advanced Medical Institute.
Yes, that’s right, after already featuring three times on the ASB’s top ten list of the year’s most complained about ads, with its “Making Love – Do it Longer” and “Men do it LONGER” efforts – it’s capping 2009 off with a complaint made against it for an advertising message sent to people’s mobile phones.
All the complaints for the above-mentioned ads have been dismissed. But more to the point, is there any medium or form of marketing communications AMI’s ads haven’t been complained about? It’s getting to a stage where it should be on a list all on its own surely.
I think it’s a great campaign. I remember their name, isn’t that the whole point of advertising.
I say pipe it prudes.

Who cares if the advertising is off colour or not. The real issue here is that the product is completely and utterly bogus. The Carbolic Smoke Ball Company would be proud of these guys.
