AFR starts printing in Tasmania
The Australian Financial Review has followed the path of The Australian and started printing in Tasmania.
The Fairfax Media paper began locally printing today. Previously it was sent by air from Melbourne leaving readers at the mercy of the Bass Strait weather.
Michael Gill, CEO of the Financial Review Group, said: ““We have a strong readership base in Tasmania and we know that many business operators rely on their morning ‘briefing’ from the Financial Review.”
Fairfax will be running local subscriber campaigns aimed at driving home delivery of the Fin in Tasmania. The move comes a month after the AFR’s only national rival, The Australian, started printing in Tasmania.
