AGL and The Peers Project’s new business decarbonisation podcast launches today

The Peers Project and AGL have created a new podcast – The Net Zero Path For Business – designed to help businesses begin and successfully undertake their decarbonisation journey.

The announcement:

Decarbonisation is complex and different for every business, but its mounting importance cannot be ignored. AGL has partnered with The Peers Project on a new podcast designed to support businesses in starting and progressing their path to decarbonisation. The Net Zero Path For Business hits podcast players today.

The Net Zero Path For Business podcast brings together vast expertise in the sustainability arena and real business stories of making positive change towards Net Zero. The aim is to support business leaders to navigate the landscape with confidence, presenting options, ideas and startpoints in a simple to understand format, ensuring that from the moment they begin listening they can see a path forward.

Driving the conversation is Taylor Hawkins, entrepreneur and managing director of Foundations for Tomorrow. Taylor brings together 6 key areas of decarbonisation including Solar, EV’s and Batteries with experts and business leaders from across the globe, delving into the process of transitioning to renewable energy and emissions reduction from the very beginning. This podcast series has an ambition to decrease the barriers to businesses undertaking the task of decarbonisation by presenting education on the topic in a simple, inclusive and supportive way.

Taylor Hawkins, The Net Zero Path For Business Host said: “It is great to see organisations like AGL taking leadership in this space, particularly after a few years of such significant investment in this journey. Embracing the transformation required for a sustainable future is not easy, but having leaders come together and share their insights and lessons learned helps forge a clearer path forward for us all.”

Michelle Akhidenor, chief executive officer of The Peers Project said: “Businesses can make an extraordinary impact by committing to traveling the path towards decarbonisation. AGL’s commitment to support them on the journey is something we greatly admire and is directly aligned with The Peers Project’s mission to make a positive impact with the podcasts we produce. Creating a podcast project like this for AGL, and the incredible guests who have shared their knowledge, is an honour and we greatly value their partnership.”

Yasmina Pinto, head of brand AGL said: “AGL is proud to launch the Net Zero Path for Business podcast and hear our experts and customers share their sustainability initiatives, strategies and successes. The podcast is a resource for those seeking expert guidance on how to decarbonise and delves into the detail on carbon offsetting, the renewable products and services on offer and the importance of energy audits.

Decarbonisation can be a complex topic and the Net Zero Path podcast distils the information in a digestible format using the knowledge within AGL and industry experts.”

To drive awareness of the series, AGL will integrate the podcast into owned media and customer touchpoints and launch a dedicated marketing campaign across LinkedIn and in-podcast advertising.

The Net Zero Path For Business launches April 30, 2024, with 6 episodes released as part of the first installment of this series.
