Air New Zealand’s Cara Mygind joins Uber as head of ANZ comms
Air New Zealand’s manager of communications and PR, Cara Mygind, has departed the airline to join ride sharing service Uber as its head of communications across Australia and New Zealand, Mumbrella can reveal.
Mygind replaces Katie Curran who departed Uber in December last year to join Amazon Australia as its head of communications.
Mygind confirmed her new role at Uber adding she is excited by the new role and the opportunities to come.
It is unclear who is replacing Mygind at Air New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Uber’s corporate communications lead for Australia and New Zealand, Mike Scott, has departed the company to join Woolworths as a senior manager of media and corporate communications.
Peter O’Sullivan, head of public relations, community and sponsorship, said in a statement to Mumbrella: “We are excited to have someone with Mike’s experience on board as part of the Woolworths Corporate Communications and Media team.
“Mike will play a key role in the management of the Groups media relations, as well as providing ongoing communications support and advice to the business.”
Scott commenced his new role at Woolworths on Monday.
Last year Uber pitched its creative account in April, awarding the account to Special Group one month later.
While in December, Uber awarded its public relations account to Sling & Stone.
