Air NZ’s mystery competition
Dr Mumbo fears the good folk at Air New Zealand did not mean to publish this web page promoting a competition linked to its new Safety in Hollywood air safety video.
Clearly there’s a competition of some sort about to kick off, and Dr Mumbo’s money is on it being a trip to Hollywood. Hopefully a safe one at that.
The good news for competition junkies out there is the entry page is open already, so you can take a punt on entering before anyone else and get ahead of the pack in line for the mystery prize.
Let’s just hope the prize isn’t a bath with Rhys Darby…

Now now, Dr Mumbo, that’s not correct – if it’s a game of chance, then winners are drawn at random. It won’t matter when they enter (unless it’s instant win, where prizes are awarded at pre-determined times). If it’s a game of skill, then all entries are judged. So again it doesn’t matter what time you enter.
Then there’s the small matter as to what the T&Cs say – when does the promotion start? The promoter likely won’t be able to accept entries ahead of the start time/date in the T&Cs.
The page has been updated now (probably coz of your article) to say the competition is coming soon.
Tsk tsk.
