AJF Partnership Sydney splits with Melbourne shop to launch new agency

Five years after expanding to the Sydney market, AJF Partnership has sold the operation to its Sydney founders, with the agency rebranding as Richards Rose.

Richard RoseThe move comes at the same time the Sydney agency was appointed to the Mitsubishi account.

Founders Digby Richards and Adam Rose said that splitting from the Melbourne agency was a good move as the two offices began to strike conflict issues with a number of clients.

“As both AJF Sydney and AJF Melbourne built relationships with more clients in different categories, potential client conflicts were becoming an issue. In order for the Sydney business to grow, we felt the time was right to separate the agencies and for us to buy out our Melbourne partners.”

The agency’s Melbourne partners said that it was the right time to let the Sydney operation move independently in its own direction.

“The agency has grown to some 45 staff and counts many prominent brands and companies amongst its clients,” said Andrew Fabbro, founding partner, in a statement.

“It is with some pride and the very best wishes that we pass our shareholdings over to Digby and Adam, and we look forward to watching the continued growth and prosperity of Richards Rose.”
