Amnesia Razorfish appoints Christian Behrendt as executive creative director

Christian BehrendtDigital agency Amnesia Razorfish has  appointment of  Christian Behrendt as its executive creative director.

Behrendt will come across from the US digital agency R/GA where he was the New York’s Creative Director. He has previously been named one of AdWeek’s Worldwide Top 10 Creative Minds in Digital in 2011.

“Christian is one of the world’s leading creative digital minds and his groundbreaking work fits perfectly with our strategic shift towards a truly global focus,” said a statement from Doug Chapman, Amnesia Razorfish managing director.

As Creative Director at R/GA, New York, Behrendt worked with leading brands such as Google, MasterCard and Nike.

Prior to working at R/GA, New York, Behrendt worked at Crispin, Porter+Bogusky across the Activision, Volkswagen and Best Buy accounts. He was part of the team working on Best Buy‘s “Twelpforce” that won the Titanium Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions Festival in 2010.

Behrendt said: “I’m elated to join Australia’s most awarded full-service digital agency and work on a great client portfolio that includes iconic Australian brands.”

The agency said the appointment does not impact chief creative officer and co-founder Iain McDonald’s role.
