Fresh off the back of the recent appointment of new Director of Digital, Josie Brown, JWT Melbourne has further boosted its digital team with the appointment of Andrew Lee to the newly created role of digital operations manager.

Lee arrives at the agency from GPY&R Melbourne where he helped manage growth across staff, capabilities and revenue, including one of the largest digital accounts in the country, Defence Force Recruiting. Lee, who has been active in the technology arena for more than 10 years, began his career in web development before moving agency side.

JWT Melbourne has been steadily lifting digital output, including the recent launch of upgraded web and mobile tools to support the Federal Department of Health & Ageing initiative “Swap It, don’t stop it”.

The agency also recently created a world-first creative writing community site and mobile app for the Melbourne Writers Festival called Stories Unbound.

Josie Brown said: “Andrew is an important hire for us as we continue to boost our digital creativity in the agency.”

On his appointment, Lee said: “I am excited to begin working with the team at JWT in Melbourne. Their approach to integrating digital across all client strategy really appealed to me, and I am looking forward to exciting times ahead.”
