Andrew Rule quits The Age for the Herald Sun

Investigative journalist Andrew Rule, co-author of the Underbelly series, has this afternoon quit Fairfax Media’s Melbourne flagship The Age to become associate editor of rival News Ltd title the Herald Sun.

His departure coincides with this weekend’s forthcoming major relaunch of The Age’s Saturday edition.

In part thanks to his writing partnership with John Silvester, Rule is one of Australia’s best known investigative journalists.

Rule was senior writer (investigations and special reports) at The Age. He has won a Gold Walkley, the Graham Perkin Australian Journalist of The Year award and the Melbourne Press Club’s Gold Quill Award.
