APN Outdoor speaks on industry in GroupM’s ‘M Grad’ Programme

APN Outdoor participated in GroupM’s M Grad Programme this week, presenting an introduction into the Australian Outdoor industry.

The announcement:

Leading Outdoor company, APN Outdoor, took part in GroupM’s M Grad Programme this week when it presented an introduction into the Australian Outdoor industry.

Presented by APN Outdoor CEO Richard Herring and NSW Group Sales Manager Daniel McConochie, the presentation began with a bird’s eye view into the overall Outdoor landscape of Australia and moved into where Outdoor sits in the media mix through to the granular level of the vast range of products and formats available in the market.

The 2013 M Grad Programme was launched by GroupM to target the best new talent coming into the media industry. The selected grads take part in a two month work experience programme and learn about all aspects of media and search. The programme is designed to give the grads a unique and practical experience of being fully immersed into the industry.

APN Outdoor CEO Richard Herring commented on the GroupM initiative; “The media and advertising landscape is complex so anything that can be done to make the industry more enticing to ensure we get the best of the graduating students as they exit their study programs will be supported by us. We are grateful GroupM invite companies like ours to participate.”

GroupM’s Chief HR & Talent Officer, Elissa Good-Omozusi explained the importance of having media operators present to the graduates; “The M Grad Programme is a fantastic way for students to discover if the media industry is right for them and for us to attract and eventually add bright and ambitious young talent to our agencies. It’s crucial that we give the grads a well-rounded view of the media industry and Outdoor plays a significant part in the picture. It’s been great to have leading media operators like APN Outdoor involved to share media operator industry overview and insight with our grads.”
