ARN promotes Mix content director Sue Carter to Gold FM content boss

Sue Carter, content director for Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 FM and Cruise 1323, has been promoted as Melbourne’s Gold FM content director.

Carter has been a content director at ARN for almost three years. Her previous roles include executive producer for SCA’s Triple M Grill Team Brisbane, and content director for Jack FM and Jack2 in the United Kingdom.

Carter will commence her role in April

Carter replaces Sam Thompson, who was content director for both Kiis FM and Gold FM until October last year. The roles will now be split with Kiis 1065’s content director Derek Bargwanna to also handle Kiis 101.1 FM in Melbourne.

At the same time, ARN will appoint Tony Aldridge as content director for Mix 102.3 FM and Cruise 1323. Aldridge – who most recently worked with Nova – will start his new role on March 19.

Duncan Campbell, ARN’s national content director, congratulated Carter, adding he pleased to welcome Aldridge to the team.

“Sue has been a valued member of the team in Adelaide and a key part of Mix102.3’s ongoing success, so I know she will be an excellent addition to GOLD104.3’s team in Melbourne ahead of the launch of Christian O’Connell’s Breakfast Show on June 4,” Campbell said.

“I am pleased to welcome Tony Aldridge to ARN, his depth of knowledge and experience in radio will be a great asset to the Adelaide team.”

Carter said she was looking forward to creating engaging content for the Melbourne audience. She commences her new role on April 9.
