AJF Partnership Sydney has poached Arnold Furnace head of planning Thomasine Burnap who joins the agency as planning director.

Burnap joins AJF after 10 months at Arnold Furnace, during which she formed part of the agency’s executive team following the departure of managing director Tony Singleton.

Previously she was a planner at BMF for just over five and a half years and was a senior planner for a year and a half and spent nearly three years as a planner at GPY&R.

AJF Partnership Sydney managing director Digby Richards said: “Thomasine comes to AJF highly recommended by some of the industry’s smartest. While she has a tonne of experience across nearly every category, Thom possesses a contrarian gene to help promote original ideas for both AJF and our clients.”

The appointment follows AJF Sydney picking up the Goodman Fielder Baking account.

Havas Worldwide CEO Anthony Gregorio told Mumbrella Burnap will not be replaced with planning resources within the group to be used on the Arnold Furnace clients.

He wished her all the best in her new role.

AJF clients include Officeworks, GM Holden, Target, Lion, iSelect, IG, King Furniture, Beiersdorf, Valspar, Lindt, Campari, RAMS and Stan.

Burnap will report into head of strategy Jody Elston.
