He moved back agency side this month after finishing up his contract as social media and employee advocacy manager at the Commonwealth Bank.

Giesen said he loves being at the forefront of digital and social media marketing.

“In 2009, I moved to Ogilvy Australia to grow one of the first social media agencies here – going from one person to an award-winning team of 15 people who delivered successful campaigns for some of the world’s most-recognised brands. I’ve also had in-house experiences along the way at Coca-Cola and Ebay, which expanded my creative, measurement and team management capabilities,” he said on LinkedIn.

Giesen specialises in social media marketing and communications, content and copywriting, digital crisis management, training and workshop facilitation, influencer marketing, search engine marketing, website assessments and employee advocacy, according to his profile.

“Five words that describe me: strategic, GSD (get *stuff done), creative, resourceful, collaborative,” he concluded.

Atomic 212 and Giesen have been approached for further comment.
