Atomic 212 wins Red Rooster, Oporto parent company’s media account

Craveable Brands, a fast-food holding company with subsidiaries Red Rooster, Oporto and WA’s Chicken Treat, has handed its media account to Atomic 212.

The account went to pitch, and Atomic 212 will take over from the incumbent agency, Mindshare. The latter first won the account in 2016.

Mumbrella reached out to GroupM to confirm whether Mindshare participated in the pitch.

Atomic 212’s managing director, Rory Heffernan, said: “We’re beyond excited to partner with Craveable Brands, and each of the incredible teams within the umbrella. It’s an opportunity to work on three beloved brands, each of which occupy their own space in the QSR market and broader Australian culture.

“All three brands (Red Rooster, Oporto & Chicken Treat) are positioned well and we’re looking forward to playing our part in their future growth through our amazing team and ambitious approach to media planning, buying and partnerships.”

The agency will commence its media buying duties from March.

In October 2022, Atomic 212 landed Aware Super’s and Entain Australia’s media accounts, which were estimated to have $15 million and $50-70 million respectively in annual billing.

The agency also retained Origin Energy’s media account in June last year.
