Australia Post supports small businesses in latest campaign
Australia Post shows how it is supporting small businesses in Australia with its latest campaign created by Y&R Australia.
The campaign, which will run across out-of-home, radio and digital, features four small business owners explaining how Australia Post helps their business.
Australia Post has been mercilessly killing off ‘small business’ publishers now for ten years. Their average price rise for business publishers in this period would make the monocled monopoly man weep. Last year, they pretended they were only doing a 6% rise, but in the major weight category for most publishers the rise was nearly 14%. CPI was what? 1.3% then? How is that even legal? Somehow the govt keeps insisting that AP do not use monopoly power. How so? There is no other place to get distribution because they own PO boxes.
That they say they are helping small businesses is disingenuous at best, deceptive more likely.
Sent a parcel last week, cost was 7 odd dollars, this week the same package costs $10.55 to send.
There is no point selling items online that weigh more than 1/2 a kilo if you dont charge for shipping or your own markup is ridic.
