Australia’s media Young Lions miss out
Australia’s media Young Lions team has failed to emulate the success of their print counterparts, missing out on the major prizes.
In an announcement early on Wednesday, Australian time, Lachlan Williams from Razor Media and Jessica Woodford from 303 Group Perth learned they had been unsuccessful although their presentation was commended.
The tough brief saw the Young Lions challenged to work on a brief for the Brazlian environmental organisation Iracambi to help secure corporate sponsorship.
Williams and Woodford had less success than their counterparts in the print category, Matt Swinburne and Mike Felix from Leo Burnett Sydney, who won gold for Australia earlier in the week.
The winning media Young Lions team came from the Czech Republic, with silver going to Germany and bronze to Brazil.
Failed, really!? Words hurt!

It is fantastic to know that we are being so well represented at Cannes. Hopefully we will now see an influx of foreign media folk coming to work in Australia because you can turn up to work without having to go through the rigmarole of putting on clothes. Also, apparently, the women are pretty fit.
