Avis Budget Group’s media and PR accounts to remain with Havas Village

Avis Budget Group has extended its partnership with Havas Media Network and Havas Red following a competitive pitch process.

Mumbrella understands the accounts were awarded around July this year, with the Havas media and PR arms remaining on the car rental provider’s agency roster alongside creative agency Havas Host, which has worked with the business on a project basis since late 2019.

In reappointing the Havas agencies, Avis Budget Group has affirmed its commitment to an agency village approach to advertising, which Havas Media CEO Virginia Hyland told Mumbrella gave clients the benefit of shared insights and streamline communication across service providers.

“Avis Budget Group value integrated partnerships because they know the power of activating content in channels to guarantee greater sales lift versus their competition,” she said. “The Havas Village model is the perfect way for the marketing team to access specialised talent with ease as their needs change.”

Havas Media and Havas Red have held the Avis Budget Group accounts since 2018. Both agencies came together with Havas Host in August to launch the company’s latest campaign for the company’s ‘Better’ brand.

Focusing on Avis Budget Group brands Avis, Budget and Apex, Havas Media will continue to provide integrated digital performance, partnership activation and media amplification, while Havas Red will lead earned PR in Australia.
