Clemenger BBDO Sydney named Agency of the Year at AWARD Awards

Clemenger BBDO Sydney has been named the Agency of the Year at the 40th annual Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) Awards, while BBDO took home Network of the Year.

Clemenger BBDO Sydney also secured seven Gold Pencils, six of which were for its Ducking Autocorrect campaign.

The other gold pencil was awarded to Clemenger BBDO Sydney for its Wasteland with a V campaign.

Overall, 58 Gold Pencils were awarded across 22 campaigns, with a further 80 Silvers and 129 Bronze handed out.

Client of the Year went to Carsales, while its AutoAds campaign by CHE Proximity was awarded Best In Show.

Mike Spirkovski, chair of AWARD, said: “Congratulations to our long and deserving list of finalists and winners, especially to Clemenger BBDO Sydney who were awarded the coveted Agency of the Year title, and to CHE Proximity’s AutoAds and BWM Dentsu’s Project Revoice who have been awarded for Best in Show. Congratulations also to Friendshit by GREYnJ UNITED for being selected for the Chair’s Choice award. This year a record number of 58 gold pencils have been awarded – a figure which bears testament to the outstanding level of talent in the Asia Pacific region”.
