Bauer Xcel Media adds head of programmatic and digital group account director roles

Bauer Media’s digital arm, Bauer Xcel Media has created two new roles, head of programmatic and digital group account director to boost its native content and programmatic advertising offerings.

Mitchell Greenway will join Bauer Xcel as head of programmatic, while Shailei Forrester will also start with the company as digital group account director.

Greenway has previously work at Yahoo7 in as group sales manager.

Greenway joins Bauer from Yahoo7, where he held the role of group sales manager for nine months. Previously, he has also worked with the Native Advertising Institute and Val Morgan.

Forrester joins from independent communications agency Reborn, where she was responsible for clients including Nestle Australia, Revlon Australia, and CSIRO.

In her new role, Forrester will work with Bauer’s sales and editorial teams on strategic, content-led creative campaigns.

Forrester returns to work after maternity leave.

Peter Manten, digital strategy and commercial director said the new appointments were part of Bauer’s ongoing investment in native content solutions and programmatic advertising.

“We’ve seen continuous and significant growth in native content revenue and active campaigns since introducing a raft of new solutions with the launch of NowToLove.com.au earlier this year and across the broader Bauer digital portfolio.

“We have also significantly increased our programmatic advertising performance. This is mainly through private market place agreements that we have been able to put in place due to our longstanding relationships with clients and agencies,” Manten said.
