BBDO Australia unveils next chapter of Ford’s ‘Live the Ranger Life’ campaign

Ford has launched the next chapter of its ‘Live the Ranger Life’ campaign, first created in partnership with BBDO Australia in 2019.

The new work celebrates updates to two popular models of the Ford Ranger, the 2021 Wildtrack X and the FX4 MAX, and launches off the back of the Ford Ranger being named Australia’s best selling 4×4 in 2020.

The new chapter of the ‘Live the Ranger Life’ platform is led with two films, each cheekily showing off the capabilities of the Ford Ranger when taken off-road by tapping into the imagination of potential future owners.

The campaign displays Ford Ranger ownership as aspirational for people in the city, and non-owners, with the second spot showing off the possibilities of borrowing a Ranger from a mate.

Ford Australia director of marketing, Daniella Winter, said the updated models have got everything to help customers live whatever their version of the ‘Ranger Life’ may be.

“Both of these updated trucks illustrate everything we love about Ranger. Whether it’s the enhanced off-road capabilities of the FX4 MAX or the unique styling and features of the Wildtrak X, we’ve got it covered to help you live whatever your version of the Ranger Life is.

“We’re not resting on our laurels and we’ll continue to develop new models to match the needs of our awesome Ranger drivers around the country.”

The FX4 MAX campaign is already live across TV, social, digital, OOH and retail, while the Wildtrak X campaign is set to launch by month’s end.

The BBDO network was appointed to the global creative account for Ford in October 2018, after WPP had held it for 75 years. WPP still holds the manufacturer’s media account.
