Beauty and the Geek takes entertainment; Nine takes Wednesday

Beauty and the Geek on Nine won entertainment on Wednesday, while the network celebrated an overall network share win.

The reality series aired to a metro audience of 532,000 viewers, while also winning key advertising demos, 16-39, and 18-49s.

Next in entertainment was The Chase Australia which pulled in 527,000 metro viewers, followed by Gruen on ABC with a metro audience of 519,000.

Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell was next grabbing 487,000 metro viewers, while Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod – launch brought in an average metro audience of 437,000.

An episode of Home and Away aired to 418,000 metro viewers, while Hot Seat saw 404,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven News was the #1 metro program on Wednesday with 912,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 866,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 822,000 metro viewers, and Nine News at 6:30 with 819,000 viewers.

A Current Affair brought in 638,000 metro viewers, ABC News saw 567,000 tune in, and ABC’s 7:30 News had 492,000 viewers in all five major capital cities.

As mentioned, in overall network share for Wednesday, Nine won the night with a 31% network share streaking ahead of Seven’s 23%, Ten finished with a 17.8% share, while ABC had a 17.9% share.
