Ben Sharp leaves Pureprofile to take Salesforce regional role

Pureprofile’s head of revenue, Ben Sharp, has left the company after seven months to join Salesforce as its regional sales director for DMP & Advertising Technology.

Sharp joined Pureprofile last June shortly after stepping down as CEO of industry body ADMA, a role which lasted two weeks after he stepped in to replace long-standing boss, Jodie Sangster.

In an interview on the Mumbrellacast last year, Sharp wouldn’t be drawn on leaving ADMA, only saying he was surprised at how quickly the news of his departure came out and how much coverage the move received.

Nic Jones, CEO and managing director of Pureprofile, told Mumbrella: “We thank Ben for his contribution to Pureprofile and wish him all the best in the next stage of his career.”

Salesforce confirmed Sharp had started with the company but had no further comment on his appointment.

One of the co-founders of Allure Media, which was acquired by Fairfax in 2013, Sharp became the first and only local boss of Adroll during its four years with a major office in Australia. He left the US headquartered adtech firm when the US-based martech service wound back its Australian operations.

Prior to Allure, Sharp had a long career in digital media, including six years with Yahoo!7 where he was group sales manager and with retargeting firm Vizury.

Mumbrella has contacted Sharp for comment.
