Ben Welsh resurfaces at dentsu
One of the industry’s most renowned creatives, Ben Welsh has been working at Dentsu, as part of its Creative setup.
Welsh has been operating as an interim chief creative officer across Australia and New Zealand since May, aiding the transition to the newly unified brand, before joint CCOs, Mandie van der Merwe and Avish Gordhan joined last month.
On a contract role, it is not currently known if Welsh will continue at Dentsu beyond his current contract role.
Welsh departed DDB in 2021, stepping down after five years as chief creative officer, shortly after replaced by Stephen de Wolf.
Welsh joined DDB in 2016 from M&C Saatchi, where he spent almost 20 years as executive creative director, and then creative chair across Asia.
This morning, Welsh wrote for Mumbrella about why your brand should avoid going big on a ‘green campaign’.
Every single person at Dentsu will tell you just how awesome it is to have Ben around guiding everyone. We’re lucky to have him in addition to Mandie and Avish joining.
