Beyondblue appoints Clemenger BBDO and TBWA Melbourne to creative roster

Mental health organisation Beyondblue has appointed TBWA Melbourne and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne to its creative agency roster after a competitive pitch, Mumbrella can reveal.

The agencies will work closely with Beyondblue to develop campaigns to help Australians improve their mental health.

Nadean Weller, Beyondblue’s acting general manager, marketing and communications said the group was delighted to add the two agencies to its creative services panel.

“Anxiety, depression and suicide impact the lives of all people in Australia,” Weller said.

“We look forward to working with both agencies to create cutting-edge behaviour change campaigns that will make a significance difference to people’s lives.”

Mike Napolitano, managing director at TBWA Melbourne and Paul McMillan, managing director at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne said in a statement they were “proud” to work with the organisations.

“Mental health is a significant issue for society today, with three million Australians currently experiencing anxiety or depression. We’re both proud to be working with Beyondblue and look forward to bringing some innovative and disruptive thinking to the table to help drive-forward their next chapter of positive change within the community.”

Last year, Beyondblue released a web series, ‘Dadvice’ which aimed to address the challenges of being a new dad.

Other work includes Beyondblue’s Man Therapy campaign, to reduce male suicide.

TBWA Melbourne’s clients include ANZ, Nissan and Medibank, while Clemenger’s clients include NAB, Myer and Seek.
