Independent Bohemia hires Initiative’s Sean Richardson as strategy director
Independent media agency Bohemia has hired Initiative’s Sean Richardson as its new strategy director, Mumbrella can reveal.
Richardson has been in the role of strategy director, Sydney, for the past 18 months but has been with the agency for three years, helping lead Initiative’s work on the MFA 2013 Grand Prix-winning work ‘Help Me Choose’ for Hyundai and Kia.
“Sean’s reputation and Grand Prix-winning work speaks for itself,” Brett Dawson, CEO of Bohemia, told Mumbrella. “We are chuffed to have him and excited by what he will bring to our clients and teams.”
Richardson previously held worked at ZenithOptimedia and Carat prior to joining Initiative.
“I’m thrilled to be a Bohemian,” said Richardson. “Being part of such a talented team and delivering remarkable work for clients are challenges that I’m genuinely up for.”
The appointment comes just a month after Mumbrella revealed that the agency had hired Match Media’s Theo Ziglou as its trading director.
It is understood Initiative has not yet replaced Richardson.
Bohemia, whose major clients include Lion, Vodafone and Quick Service Restaurant, is independently-owned; however, multinational STW Communications holds a minority stake.
