Bohemia’s Rebecca Hamilton takes top marketing gig at GWS Giants

The Greater Western Sydney Giants has a new marketing lead, with Rebecca Hamilton taking on the role of head of marketing and experience.

Hamilton was previously media director at M&C Saatchi’s media agency Bohemia, where she looked after the Freedom Furniture and Michael Hill accounts.

Hamilton has taken on a 12-month role

Mumbrella understands the Michael Hill account has since moved to CHE Proximity.

Hamilton’s role at GWS is a 12-month contract to cover the maternity leave of Samantha Blomeley.

The Giants’ chief fan and commercial officer Ryan Kaveney said he was thrilled Hamilton was joining the team.

“With the Giants being based in such a highly competitive entertainment landscape as Sydney, we pride ourselves on being a club like no other and we are excited about what Rebecca can bring to the club,” he added.

“Rebecca’s agency background and experience working at Disney sees her complement the existing skills already in the marketing team and we’re really looking forward to 2019 being another big year for the Giants.”

Bohemia confirmed it has hired Hamilton’s replacement and will announce it in the new year.

Bohemia’s CEO Brett Dawson wished Hamilton well in her new endeavour.

“Beck has taken a job as marketing director of the GWS Giants to pursue her dream of managing a sporting body,” he said. “We wish her all the very best and thank her for her contribution to Bohemia.”
