Boost Media International appoints Steve Smith to succeed George Buschman as CEO

Boost Media International’s founder George Buschman has handed over the CEO reigns to former ARN Melbourne general manager Steve Smith.

Smith joins the Australian-owned global media consulting group from The Arabian Radio Network, where he has been Dubai-based chief operating officer for the past nine years.

Buschman, who will remain the company’s executive chairman, will now transition the strategic future of Boost Media International, while Smith will take on the day-to-day operations of the business.

“The opportunity to work with the team at Boost Media International is very exciting indeed. Boost Media International has been at the forefront of driving incremental revenue solutions for many major media groups globally and I am looking forward to leading this group’s continued growth going forward,” said Smith in a media statement.

Buschman added: “I have had the pleasure of observing Steve’s leadership capabilities both here in Australia and internationally over the past 20 or so years and saw firsthand his ability to develop cultures of innovation that delivered enormous results over and over again. We are thrilled to have him leading our next phase of growth.”

The company offers consulting services for the media sector with clients in Australia, USA, South East Asia, Middle East, India, Pakistan and specialises in working with media owners across all platforms to help grow revenue.
