Box Office: The Fall Guy stays on top, Tarot opens strong

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt remain on top of the National Box Office for a second week in a row, with The Fall Guy taking in $2.45 million over the weekend.

Kung Fu Panda 4 drops from second to third this weekend, as school holidays end, allowing Zendaya’s Challengers to climb into second place in its third weekend, taking $703,000 over the weekend, with its cumulative Australian box office now at $3.15 million.

Kung Fu Panda 4 still brought in $670,00 in its sixth week, to push its cumulative Australian box office to $23.5 million, while horror film Tarot took in $443,000 in a strong opening weekend – beating Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which brought in $363,000, also in its sixth week of release.

The National Australian Box Office was $8.61 million for the weekend; given the fact that Sunday is Mother’s Day, receipts are expected to lift.
