July 12, 2011 –

Leading integrated agency, Clemenger BBDO Brisbane, has been appointed by Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) to develop the retail brand for the International Terminal’s retail shopping precinct.

Clemenger BBDO Brisbane Managing Director, Kurt Viertel, said the new retail brand development would help elevate the International Terminal retailers through above and below the line campaigns involving on premise and external promotion, underpinned by an ongoing retail brand presence.

“The new retail brand development and marketing promotions will be rolled out over the next 12 months and help deliver BAC’s vision to become a ‘great value retail destination’ in its own right,” Mr Viertel said. He added, “It’s inspiring to work alongside the BAC’s passionate and driven team.”

Brisbane Airport Corporation General Manager Retail and Commercial, Andrew Brodie, said Clemenger BBDO Brisbane was a standout and was selected based upon its clear understanding of the organisation’s challenges.

“The Australian retail sector is currently being challenged on many fronts. But as Australia’s fastest growing airport we are well placed to drive value and provide a unique shopping experience.”

The campaign will commence immediately, with the first stages to include a rugby inspired retail promotion.
