The announcement:

A video pro in your pocket – meet the affordable new platform revolutionizing video for business

Brisbane startup Wrappt is putting the previously inaccessible power of professional-standard video tools into the palms of every marketer and business owner, with a one-of-a-kind mobile platform launched today.

With over 87% of consumers wanting to see more video content from brands in 2019, 74% of businesses yet to invest in video plan to start in the coming months – a dramatic increase from 34% in 2017 (Wyzowl’s 5th State of Video Marketing Report). The problem these businesses and marketing teams will face, is that video has traditionally been expensive to produce and too complex or technical to bring in-house.

With video marketing moving from useful to essential, and demand for frequency and quality on the rise, Wrappt is leveling the playing field. Their platform enables more businesses to affordably create and manage compelling content with resources they already have on hand – no need for complex equipment or the matching price tag.

Its cornerstone is an innovative, cloud-based app which allows the user to select from and be guided through a number of video ‘templates’ optimized for business. With step-by-step direction, it takes the guesswork out of how to set up and film quality footage. The footage can then be sent directly to Wrappt’s team for editing with a quick tap.

The brainchild of Brisbane-based video agency Ride Free Media, and digital agency Vivo Group, was brought to life when the founders realized that despite the medium’s growing power and necessity, effective video was still out of reach for many.

“Videography is expensive to outsource, impractical to bring in-house, and most DIY attempts struggle to meet the high standards that management wants and the audience expects”, Wrappt Co-Founder and CEO, Ryan Miller said.

“We all have professional-grade cameras in our pocket, but polished video can still be hard to achieve with factors like lighting, sound and stability, not to mention the number of platforms and fast timeframes the modern marketer needs to meet.”

Wrappt has tackled this with an integrated, end-to-end solution; the guided app, which takes the overwhelm out of mastering your phone’s video capabilities, giving access to their team of experienced producers and editors, and the ‘Wrappt Kit,’ which provides high-end stability, sound and lighting with low-cost and lightweight film gear.

Over 150 users from 35 companies have produced more than 400 videos collectively through Wrappt to date, resulting in an estimated collective saving upwards of $500,000* in marketing budgets if professional film crews were engaged (*Based on an average entry point cost of $1,500).

The Queensland Government has also seen Wrappt’s potential to contribute to the business community, and backed them with a $100,000 Ignite Ideas Grant under the Advance Queensland Initiative.

The Wrappt app is available to download and register for free on iOS and Android devices. The Wrappt Film Kit that turns your smartphone into a professional video tool is available for purchase for $660 AUD, with editing packages starting from $208 AUD a month.
