Canva and Deloitte Australia enter ‘first of its kind’ strategic partnership

Design platform Canva and the Australian branch of professional services provider, Deloitte, have entered into “a first of its kind” partnership for more unified and seamless branding experiences.

The new partnership will combine Deloitte Australia’s digital transformation knowledge with Canva’s platform to offer “whole of business solutions and benefits” that are dedicated to reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

Specifically, the arrangement is expected to result in content and branding that is more cohesive and consistent, while making it easier for different areas of the business to collaborate.

Deloitte Australia’s chief executive officer, Adam Powick, expressed his excitement at the partnership, saying that the new relationship will help the organisation deliver exceptional outcomes in a complex enterprise market.

“We’re very excited to be entering into this Australian first alliance with Canva, an iconic Australian organisation that is making a global impact,” Powick said.

“The enterprise landscape is more complex than ever with productivity pressures and technology advances in key areas like generative AI. In this environment, business leaders need to rethink how their teams work, collaborate, and communicate to get the full benefits of new technology and future proof their business.

“At Deloitte, we are active users of Canva and are really looking forward to working together with our joint clients to
drive innovation, productivity and great design outcomes.”

Canva’s chief operating officer and co-founder, Cliff Obrecht, also spoke highly of the business partnership.

“We’re proud to be partnering with Deloitte as we accelerate our mission of empowering the world to design,” he said.

“Our research shows visual communication has become the status quo across every industry and profession, with 92% of employers now expecting employees to have design skills and knowledge.

“Empowering organisations to succeed in this increasingly visual world means equipping them with the latest technology and ways of working.

“We’re looking forward to working with Deloitte to help teams supercharge their productivity and growth across the enterprise content lifecycle.”

Canva’s business moves have seen it making headlines through 2024. March and July saw the design tool acquire photo editing solution, Affinity, and generative AI business, Leonardo.AI, respectively. July also the platform officially extend its partnership with real estate business, Ray White, to supply its members with social media and brand templates for greater consistent branding.
