Carnival Australia appoints FleishmanHillard to PR account
Public relations agency FleishmanHillard has won Carnival Australia’s PR account following a competitive pitch process against three other agencies, Mumbrella can reveal.
The appointment will see the agency look after Carnival Australia’s six brands including P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Curnard, Seabourn and P&O Cruises World Cruising.
PEPR Publicity will represent Carnival Australia’s Holland America.
FleishmanHillard will provide PR services including communications strategy, message planning, creative campaigns, media relations and content.
Sandy Olsen, vice president of corporate affairs for Carnival Australia, said in a statement: “We also thank our previous PR agency, MG Media Communications whose team has been a true partner in every sense of the word throughout their incredible 23-year tenure.
“With more than one million Australians cruising each year and with two million now in prospect, we have ambitious targets for further growth in Australia and New Zealand. We needed an equally ambitious partner to support these efforts,” she said.
FleishmanHillard has also recently been appointed to Cathay Pacific’s PR account.
Jenna Orme, general manager at FleishmanHillar, said: “Our ‘Power of True’ model allowed us to crack a unique strategic proposition for Carnival Australia, which helped to inform creative ideas that demonstrated both communication and commercial impact,” she said.
FleishmanHIllard’s other clients include Johnson & Johnson, Philips, Fitbit, Bose and Cathay Pacific.
