Carsales enlists influencer couple Nick and Carrie to front summer campaign
Carsales has revealed its summer campaign, fronted by influencer couple Nick and Carrie, in an effort to better connect with diverse Australians.
With international residents making up over 30% of Australia’s population, the auto marketplace understands the importance of providing newcomers with a trusted platform to purchase a car. Designed to showcase its position as the market leader, the campaign hopes to engage with this diverse audience.
Featuring a range of digital and social content, including two films, the campaign leans into Nick’s Indian roots and Carrie’s Hong Kong heritage, and the trust they have with their combined following of over 20 million.
“We’re excited to have Nick and Carrie on board, their relatable content and remarkable influence align perfectly with our vision to connect meaningfully with diverse audiences,” said Rafael Constantinou, executive general manager of marketing, content & customer at carsales.
“As a newcomer to Australia myself, having moved from Brazil early last year, I understand how daunting it can be to settle into a new country. A car is a significant purchase, and you want to feel confident in the platform you’re using. carsales has long been Australia’s trusted choice for buying, selling and researching cars, and this campaign is an exciting step in strengthening our connection with a key growth demographic of newcomers to Australia.”
Nick and Carrie said they’ve been avid users of carsales for years, so this partnership is something they feel connected to.
“Buying a car can be a stressful experience especially for those who are new to the country,” the pair explained.
“We know firsthand how trustworthy and easy-to-use carsales is, and we can’t wait to share that confidence with our audience.”
The first of the two ads launched this week in theme with the Australia vs India Test Cricket series.
